Hey everyone, Harry here… Well it was the yearly Kearsey family weekend away and this year we all gathered on the Gold Coast..
We flew up on Friday morning…Bub, Lily and I were very excited and Bub was a little nervous about the whole flying thing… Because Dad was trying to keep Mum happy he agreed to leave extra early so we got the airport in plenty of time..
Once we checked it we then sat back and waited till it was time to board the plane

I sat next to Dad and loved the whole experience and spent most of the trip reading my wheres wally books

Bubba, lily and Mum sat in front of us.. They were both a little scared Bubba started to cry and wanted to be cuddled while the plane took off and I think lily went out in a sympathy cry with him… once we got in the air they both settled into the flight no problems… Bub got busy drawing pictures

and lily decided it would be fun to play with the table, she was being a little missy miss and kept undoing it then trying to climb onto it..

but all in all Mum had her under control

The flight only took an hour and Uncle Bob, Poppy and Nanny were there to pick us up… We went straight to the place we were staying and without even unpacking our bags we hit the pool and spa with Olly and Sienna
Then Tyler and Caitlyn arrived and had a swim too.. that afternoon we hit the beach for a game of cricket and some beach games… it was heaps of fun…

On Saturday morning Mum and Aunty Lonsy went to the shops for a bit of R & R (that’s what Dad and Uncle Bob said) and we are headed to the beach again… we then all had to have a really big rest because Poppy bought us all tickets to the Outback Spectacular… Tyler and I Flaked out really quickly and had a good sleep..
After our sleep it was another swim in the pool then to get ready for our night out.. The show was amazing and as we arrived we all got cowboy hats

Bub and I especially loved the horses and they had cool little baby pigs and cows as well..
It was a late night so we all had a sleep in on Sunday, Bub and I got up a little earlier then Lil so mum made us a nice easy breakfast..
Sunday was our day of rest and we all just spent the day together talking and playing..
Lily kept taking Sienna’s Dolly and she was not impressed !!
Me, Olly and Mum sat up and watched the cricket on the tele…
Lily just hung around with her Nunnies on being cool…

This morning we got up really really early as we had a 8am flight home… we all had a really good weekend and loved playing with Tyler, Caitlyn, Olly and Sienna… but that also meant that we were all really really tired as well…

The flight home was good.. Bub wasn’t scared anymore and lily was less annoying and when we all got home we had a really big 4 hours sleep…. Mum is still a little cranky but I think she just needs to “get the bloody washing done, get things organised for tomorrow and maybe get to bed before midnight if she has any luck”…. !!!!!

Well the countdown is over and the day is finally here… Harry started school today..
Was a big morning Harry was up early and got straight into some breckie…

after breakie straight into she shower and got dressed

was very exciting… Harry was all dressed and ready to go with 45 mins to spare!!!.

lunch for day 1 is a ham and tomato sauce roll, apple, tiny teddy’s and a muesli bar. Recess is grapes and jatz and vegimite.

Then the visitors started to arrive.. Ma and Pa called over the see the big boy all ready to go.

Aunty Jod and Mia then arrived to make sure his hair was done and bag was packed…

an of course the day couldn’t start without a pic with Mum and dad

before long it was time to go. so on with the bag and out the back door we go..

We all went to school to see Harry off… he was very unfazed by it all and took everything in this stride.. I think Mum and Dad were more nervous about the day then he was…
Harry’s main concerns were if he was going to be able to play with the smart boards and if anyone would be play cricket with him.
My concerns for the day were that his uniform was a tad too big and If there would be any tears shed. but that all got put to rest when I realised that the only thing that really fitted any of the kids this morning were their shoes.. oversized shirts, shorts, hats and bags…
We walked into the class room and Harry sat down next to another little boy and said. Hi im’ Harry… the other little boy said. Hi I’m Mitchell and the rest was history… I left, he waved goodbye and that was that..
Joe seems to have missed Harry the most today… He seems a little lost… but alas he is ok none the less.
It’s now lunch time.. and I’ve thought about Harry a lot this morning and have been wondering how he is going.. also wondering where the last 5 years went and how much he has grown from that little cone headed child I gave birth too into this beautiful little boy..

On a brighter note.. put my name and Ma’s name down for canteen duty this morning.. should be fun and I can’t wait…

Well we have had a bonza day!!!..
We were invited by Uncle Matts uncle and Aunt Greg & Julie to go to a BBQ at their place on the creek at none other then Dora Creek..
Daddy thought it was a prime opportunity to get the boat our and blow the cobwebs out and give it a run..
So off we headed!!!
We drove out to the boat ramp and launched the boat.. Harry was keen to jump in with Dad but I just wanted to get to the party so I stayed in the car with Mum and Lily..

Dad turned it over and as reliable as ever.. the sugar foot started without a hitch and Dad and Harry were off up the river!!..

We headed to the party in the car… When we got there everyone else was already there… we headed in and I went straight down to the jetty to see if I could see Dad and Harry coming up the creek…
It wasn’t long and I could see them…

They looked so cool!!!.. Dad docked at the Jetty and Harry was keen to stay in the boat

we spent the afternoon having a great lunch, ice creams, choccie and even a swim in the pool..
Lily had heaps of fun on the Tree swing

She kept Pa busy as he had to keep pushing her

After Lunch We all went down to the creek for a fish and throw a few lines in!!..
Harry hooked one straight away and was the first to get a fish for the day

He even reeled it in himself!!.. Not a bad effort really…

As it was getting late it was time to go and I thought I might give this boat thing a crack…
Up until now I haven’t’ been on it and I run a mile when dad starts it up as it’s quite loud.. but I thought… i have to give it a go at some stage…
so Dad was loading it up and Harry was in there and I was literally pacing the jetty…. at one second I was keen and walked toward the boat… then I chickened out and headed back to the bank… then thought what the hell and headed back towards the boat… Got there realised what I was doing and headed back to the bank… then said “pull yourself together joe” and made a bee line for the boat… then the knees went from under me and i was heading back to the bank again… Then in one last effort I bit the bullet and made the dash… up the jetty into Mum’s arms and she transferred me into the boat… I panicked at the start but one I realised Dad had hold of me I relaxed a little and I wondered what I was so worried about…

Dad Harry and I drove back to the boat ramp and Mum and lily met us there… I jumped out of the boat and mum asked me how i went and I said “it was great mum… I love the boat.. the boat is good isn’t it mum”…
So all it all it’s been a bonza day!!

Hey Everyone.. Mum here…
well the last week or so we have been getting Lily into a better bedtime routine… Up until now we have just nursed her off to sleep which I have to say has been really nice to soak up all the little baby cuddles I can before my baby becomes a little girl..

So Lily is in a Big Bed already so the plan was to just put her down awake and when (not if) she got down and walked out of the room, we just put her back and keep going until hopefully she goes to sleep..
So all in all it’s been working well and every night gets better and tonight she only came out of her room once so all was great.. Still took about an hour for her to finally get off to sleep but for me if she is in her room then thats fine with me..
at one stage tonight she and harry were playing peek a boo with each other across the hall way….

So tonight i was keeping an eye out when all of a sudden everything went quiet and I thought.. YES She has gone to sleep in her bed… FANTASTIC !!
so i left it a few minutes then headed in to check it out…

The little bugger wasn’t in her bed at all… She had gone into the boys room, got into bed with Harry and this is what I walk in to find..

and just when I was about to cry I pulled the blankets down to get lily out and seen this

Look at that little arm around his little sister!!!

JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!… I CAN’T POSSIBLY ASK FOR ANYTHING ELSE TODAY… I THINK I AM THE LUCKIEST MUM IN THE WORLD TONIGHT!!!..

Gday everyone.. Joe here…
Well today was really exciting as we got some new pets.. 4 little 1 week old chic’s

from left to right we have named them
Charlie the charcoal chicken a.k.a. “Charlie”, Ugg Boot Chicken a.k.a “Ugg”, Bumblebee chicken, a.k.a “bumblebee” and finally little Sock chicken a.k.a “sock”.

Harry and I have had these little chickens at preschool for the last 2 weeks and we seen them hatch out of eggs and have watched them grow..

So Harry helped mum get their new home ready yesterday with woodchips for the floor and some food, water and a nice warm light..

Mum put a call into the chicken expert of the family Uncle Graeme to make sure we were doing everything right and to see when we needed to touch base with him again for phase 2 of the “chicken project”.
Uncle Graeme reported that when they start to fly out of the plastic tub.. CALL HIM BACK!!!!

So we bought them home today..
First thoughts..
Harry loves them… Lily wants to squeeze them.. and well I want to stay away from them as they scare me and “I don’t like them”…

When dad got home from work we got them out for their first play
Lily and Harry jumped right in there while I hung out up on the lounge and as far into the corner as I could get..

after a while mum coaxed me down from the lounge and I sat on her knee and had a play with “bumblebee” and “Charlie”.. I think with time I could really come to love the little chic’s but until I’m comfortable ill just keep my distance..
Lily and Harry on the other hand are in there.. Lily is going to be the one we’ll have to watch.. she almost strangled on this afternoon… anyway time will tell and hopefull time will also bring us some nice eggs as well…

Howdy Everyone, Joe here.. Well thought I would get this back on track and do a big update for May

The month started with Harry having a “special day” with Ma and Pa which meant that Lil and I have Mum all to ourselves.. I personally thought it was an excellent opportunity for a Little bro and sis photo shoot.

I think the results were pretty good… Lil and I have a special bond and she reckons that my “bubba cuddles” are the best..
The first weekend of the month we had the Rogers Boys over for a sleep over.. It was so crazy have 5 kids under the age of 5 in the house but we had so much fun.. Mitch and Harry Rogers are our best mates and after a yummy dinner we settled in for a game of “fish” and “snap” with dad before bed

In no time at all we were all asleep, which was cool in itself cause we all slept in the same room, Mum said she was very proud of us all..
The next morning we were all up early and had pancakes for breakfast…

Sunday 9th was Mothers day and cause we have the best mum in the world and we know how much she hates to cook all the time we bought her a slow cooker… she loved it..
We also went for a trip out to the old maitland goal for the morning. It was a little scary and I didn’t like some places and we were on our best behaviour as Mum said if we were naughty she was going to leave us there!!!. She also told us that if we were naughty when we got bigger and the police came to visit us.. this is where they would take us… So Harry and I reckon we are going to be good boys for life!!!
Ma and Pa came with us and they all got headsets to listen to a man speak while we walked around..
Pa and Dad were hooked up together and Dad kept walking away while Pa was starring off into space !!!

It was really funny..
After the Goal we had a lunch at one of the pub’s at maitland. Harry, Lil and I all had our favourite, nuggets and Chips and because it was a special occasion we could have squash lemon and lemonade to drink..
Later that night we game Mum her other pressie…

“A GROUP HUG”

The first Wed of the month signalled the start of State of Origin. Dad is a die hard Queenslander supporter and Mum goes for NSW.. We all just change our minds depending on who’s winning or who just scored a try… Dad becomes unbearable this time of year as he turns into this obsessed man who’s eyes widen, chest pumps out and steam comes out of his ears with anticipation of the match…
He screams and yells at the TV and then Mum yells at him for yelling too much…
anyway we have Ben Tarny and Eliza come over for the first game and while everyone else made noise yelling we put on a little karaoke

Lily and Eliza rocked it home!!

A monthly updated wouldn’t be complete without a comment about Dad’s fishing trips for the month
He and Bed went one morning and all I can say is..

“the big ones got away”

A month doesn’t usually go by without the good old Dress up.. This month we all got on board and it was
superhero month… Uncle Brett sent down some Astro Boy DVDs and Astro Boy is now our favourite..

but we don’t have any astro boy outfits so I am an Astro Boy Turtle, Harry is Astro boy superman and Lily is Buzz Lightyear!!!

We also went on a holiday to Lake Keepit in May.. We went up to celebrate our Great Poppy Barnes 85th birthday.

It was a really long trip up and it was freezing cold at night but the days were like summer..
Dad of course got up early and went fishing.. Lily was chanting at the bit to get out there as well so they headed out early to put some lines in

they got a small one.. then when Harry and I woke up we went down for a fish as well


we got some beauties…
We also had a play on the swings and slides,

We had a great time!!

The last week of the month we just kicked about at home. Us boys were really tired but Lily managed to get some quality time with Mum and Dad…
Dad taught her how to do “Cheers”

and her shoe obsession continued…

and her hair got wild!!!

and as most months go Mum always gets us together for a family Photo shoot..
We weren’t being very co operative this day and Didn’t really get “that” photo.. but we did get some funny ones..

This was the best of the lot but Harry was too busy watching Cartoons!!

Well that brings us to the end of Autumn so chat to you soon

Mum here… well I got the best surprise ever today, I picked Harry up from Pre School and he ran over to his bag and grabbed this thing our of it… put it behind his back… walked up to me and said… “which hand”… I picked one and he presented me with this bag..

he then helped me open it and inside was this awesome necklace that he had made for me..

he picked the beads etc all by himself and put it all together…

Who needs expensive gifts when you can get something like this.. it puts everything into perspective.

Tonight I will take an extra 5 mins to hug each of the kids a little more… I will take an extra 5 mins to grab just one more kiss from Joe, I will take the time to just look at Harry and beam with joy that he is such a beautiful little man.. and I will take an extra 5 mins to run my fingers through lily’s hair!!!.
and tomorrow I am going to wear my new necklace to work with pride!!!

I love my children more the life itself, I love my family and I love being a mum

Hey Everyone,
Harry here… Well April has so far been all about a little R & R… as well as alot of green snot, bad coughs, vomiting and diarrhoea, so we are prob a good butch to stay clear of for a while…

The month started with Mum and Dad taking a quick trip back to Inverell for Justine and ehsy’s wedding..
Dad looked quite dashing and see what mum can do when she doesn’t have us to look after..

they got home on sunday night to a sick me with 2 middle ear infections and well it could be say that someone has been sick since… First it was me, Then Dad got crook real bad and then Lily got a chest infection and now I am sick again… Joe has green booga’s everywhere but that is nothing unusual for him !!!
So Mum says the best thing we can do when we are sick is sleep… so that’s what we have been doing.. anywhere we can…

So since we have all been sleeping so much Mum has had a bit of spare time on her hands so she has the garden absolutely cracking…
we have lettuce, carrots, spinach, brocollini, cauliflower, leeks, potatoes, cucumbers and strawberry’s all growing crazy outside.. We also have the first lemon on our Lemon tree turning yellow so It’s very exciting..

Mum has also been back playing the piano quite a bit lately, We all love it cause we stand around and all sing twinkle twinkle little star while mum plays it… She is really clever!!!.
Lily has also been getting lessons..

Other big things this month.. Joe is going gang busters with the toilet training and can now do wee’s on the grass… But in order to do that he still thinks he has to sit or squat down and point his doodle towards the back.. It looks really awkward and I just laugh at him every time he does it.. but I am sure as he gets bigger he will get better at it.. If not I will be sure to pull him aside and sort it out!!!

We have also hit a HUGE !! milestone this weekend just passed… The cot has left the kearsey household for good…
Uncle Matt and Aunty Jod need it for their baby so Mum went and bought lily her big bed and we all helped put it together yesterday..
Dad took the old cot out..

Joe and I helped Mum and Dad move it into her room, and Lily was the first on top of it jumping around..

Once it was all together we all tested it out!!! just to make sure it was safe

Then last night Lily snuggled down into her new flanny sheets and had a great sleep in her new big bed..

Hey Everyone, Mum here…
ok so let me set the scene!!!!
It’s been a big weekend with Bill and I heading to Inverell for a wedding and Harry, Joe and Lily stayed with Ma & Pa.. They had a great time as usual. Harry got a little sick over the weekend and we spent last night at the after hrs GP to find out he had 2 middle ear infections..
So I told him today that he needed to have a day sleep so his ears could get better..
So Harry and the rest of the kids are sound asleep… Harry is asleep on the computer room bed (this is wear he always has his day rest) and I am on the computer doing some stuff… and all of a sudden he comes out with this (this is the the tune of 5 little joeys jumping on the bed from the wiggles)

“little lily jumping on the bed,
she fell off and bumped her head,
called up Harry, and Harry said
no more stinky Bubba’s jumping on the bed.”

Harry talks alot in his sleep… and I have been meaning to start writing down what he says…
sometimes they are just jibble jabble.. other times they are funny!!!!

Hey Everyone,
Mum here… well back on the 21 Jan we started the Huge task of painting the outside of the house that was in desperate need of a new look..
This was the before shot

It’s taken many hours of blood sweat and tears but we finally have the main body of the house complete..
and the front is totally finished

We just have some brickwork around the bottom to finish off and the front and back steps to do and we are totally done…

Then we will be putting some serious efforts into the front gardens.. and then finally it might look like someone lives and cares for the place!!!>.
