Hi, I’m Harrison Peter Kearsey.. But my friends call me Harry…. I am the new addition….
I have been here for almost a week now… long enough to be able to see what’s going on and report back to everyone….

Well last Monday 23 Jan… Mum arrived at the hospital to be induced.. I didn’t take coming into this world lightly so everyone decided for me it was time to come.
After about 12 ½ hours of labour.. I arrived (again assisted by the wonderful doctor) at 1.12am on the 24 Jan… Now I thought this was kinda special as this is mum and dad’s wedding anniversary…. 2 years to the day they now have a new thing to play with…. ME!!!!..
Now the trip into the world was a bit bumpy… I hit my head a couple of times on the way out and was born with the big cone head, a nice bruise and a little bit of swelling….
I don’t think anyone minded as they all said I was beautiful… and lets face it.. You can’t argue with the parents hey!!!!
Ma, Pa, Aunty Jodie and Granny all came to visit me on my first day and over the next couple of days my head got better….
I spent my first Australia day with Mum, Dad, Nan & Pop who came to visit.. dad bought me this cool flag

On my 3rd day in the world… mum noticed I was starting to glow a bit… a nice yellow colour.. They told her this might happen so she was quick to tell the doctors.. This nice man came and gave me my very on solarium to lay on for 2 days.. .They called is a Billy Bed….. It was cool and made all the yellow go away… This was a little strange as I thought solariums were meant to give you a nice tan not take it away!!!!.

Day 3 was also good because mum got her milk… Yum Yum !!!! and there is plenty for everyone!!!!…. Mum and Dad also got there first surprise when I piddled on them!! it was very funny!!!… mum got me back though as the next feed I ended up with milk all over my face… she reckons she couldn’t stop it but I’m not too sure…..
I also had another bath.. I love my bath’s check me out.. I am such a stud !!

Mum and I spent 5 days in hospital and on Saturday morning dad came to take us home.. it was so exciting I slept through the whole thing… one minute I was in a hospital the next in this strange house!!! But a very nice house at that…
This is me in my car seat for the very first time.. it’s so comfy..

Well it’s day 2 at home now and I am settling in nicely….. I sleep really well… eat really well… poo really well and mum and dad even play games with me in between my busy schedule…..
I went on my first outing today to Jesmond today.. I love riding in the car and I must say the pram ride is great as well….
Well it’s time for a nap now…. Will check in again soon as I gotta keep mum and dad on their toes….

Hoi this me bar, lets have beer

Well….. Lets all say it together… 40 WEEKS!!!!… If you were like me you would have put money on the fact that this day would never get here!!!… What an achievement… Not even born yet and already a great kid…. lets look back and reflect on the 40 weeks of pregnancy….

FIRST TRIMESTER
WEEKS 1-4 – It was around the start of April 2005 – didn’t even know I was pregnant !!!

WEEKS 5-8 – Bill and I took a trip down the great ocean road….. Around the 6th May as I recall… was really sick.. Thought I was car sickness.. Maybe a bit of both
Tues 10th May I had to fly back to Newey. By 10.30am I had a positive result on the little stick test…. Bill found out later that arvo. .de didn’t believe it till he sore it with his own eyes the next day… that was test no 3.. gotta be sure these things are only 99% accurate the first time……
Let the family know around the same time.. booked into the Dr’s and the process commenced…Due date 8th Jan 2006…..Also had my first sick day from work….

WEEKS 6-8 – 1st June – First ultrasound.. found out that I wasn’t as far along as first thought so the due date got revised to the 19th Jan 2006. We didn’t want to get too excited until we hit the 12 week mark and beyond…..
My work pants were starting to get a little tight around the 9th June

WEEKS 9-12 – From about the 11th week which was coming into the end of Jun I felt I was really starting to show to me anyway
Had the 12week scan on the 6 July…. It was so exciting…the heart beat was strong.. it was doing flips and wouldn’t lay still or in get in the right position.. the bub was 6cm long from head to bum!!!!!….. Now we told the world.. we had reached the 12 week mark!!!..

SECOND TRIMESTER
WEEKS 13-16 – This is when I started to enjoy things the morning sickness went didn’t really have much anyway and I got my energy back.. my belly started to poke out and I purchased my first maternity clothes off Ebay….
We had the 2nd visit to the baby d on the 27 Jul.. everything was normal and the belly measurement was 14cm.. just as it should be!!!! Took my first pic of the belly as well.. time to track the growth of this thing!!!

WEEKS 17-20 – Nothing much happened over the course of the first couple of weeks… The baby got it’s first letter.. I postcard from Wendy…. And on the 29th July we went for the 20 week scan… This is where I reckon I felt the first flutter of movement…. We were sitting in the waiting room and I swear I felt the baby move…. Again at the scan the bub wouldn’t get in the right position.. it was playing around and being naughty…. 2 hours later they had everything they needed.. piggy backed that appointment with the next DR’s appointment.. belly now 21cm.. This is also when the reno’s started on our new house!!!!!

WEEKS 21-24…. On the 3rd Sep.. My dad and Jodie were sitting on the lounge at Arthur Street watching the football and at 7.36pm the baby did the biggest kick… first time I could say for sure… the exciting thing was it kicked again and Jodie felt it as well…. Of course I made a thousand phone calls…. Probably the most exciting day since we found out I was pregnant.
It was also around this time that the leg’s started to cramp up!!!… Nearly every night they would cramp and Bill was awake in a flash bending back the toes for him… I swear there were nights he didn’t even open his eyes to do it.. he was probably still asleep!!!…
The weekend of the 10th Sep we moved into the new house
The 16 Sep see the purchase of the baby cot!!!.. Bill and I had lots of fun putting it together that night…
back to the Dr’s on the 28 July. .everything still going well and normal.. belly now 24cm

THIRD TRIMESTER
WEEKS 25-28 –I have always had a bit of a problem with my back but it ached pretty much everyday… they tell me this is normal…. I’m happy to go along with that….. I also started to get rib pain now as the baby was growing and stretching out..
Although Bill had been kissing my belly goodnight from about the 6th week.. He now started singing songs to it and playing it music… it really liked that and moved a lot…. I started going to yoga classes for a bit of exercise.. Bill went surfing ha ha….Dr’s appointment 26 Oct.. all normal belly now 28cm…

WEEKS 29-32 – The 1st Nov we felt one of the babies feet while it was moving!!!..
I also now moved to fortnight visits with the Dr… The 9th Nov was the next visit and the baby had a BIG growth spurt Belly was 32cm.. this prompted me having to have a diabetes test.. the first one took just over an hour and a half to do and the results were borderline.. so had to go have another one…. The big 2 – 3 hours test.. you meet some interesting people at the pathology… that test negative.. I’m just having a big kid!!!!!..
Started the childbirth classes on the 16 Nov…
23rd Nov.. back to the Dr.. everything normal except for the belly 34cm… a little big but normal!!!

WEEKS 33-36 – We finished the 4 week run of childbirth classes and graduate with flying colours…
I finished work on the 5 Dec… and spent the next week. .washing all the baby clothes.. packing my hospital bag.. cleaning and generally getting ready… xmas was just around the corner.. Back to the Dr on the 12 Dec.. Again Normal.. and belly is now back were is should be.. AHHH !! now having a normal baby !!!
Went to the John Butler Trio concert.. it was great and the baby almost broke my ribs while it was dancing….
Dr’s appointment 22 Dec Belly 37 cm
The feet started to swell and I panic… I don’t want Kankles!!!! The advantage is the back pain is gone… must have been a work thing not a baby thing!!!..

WEEKS 37-40 – Xmas was spent in newey as they tell you. “ you can go anytime from now” and I believed it!!!!!… New years again spent home playing cards…
Moved to weekly visits to the DR… Jan 4th, 11th and 18th all visits normal and belly measurement 38 , 39 & 40cm… Everything Normal….as it has been all the way along.. The feet have gone down and get at least an hour or more nap everyday !!!.Gotta keep banking sleep!!!!.
Had some Braxton hicks contractions on the 6 Jan and got really excited only to go the bed 3 hours later disappointed that the baby didn’t arrive…..
Well that’s it.. 40 weeks in a nut shell!!!… Now is just a waiting game!!!…. One thing is for sure.. IT CAN’T STAY THERE FOREVER !!!!

Once again…. still waiting… this is the post I didn’t think I would have to make.. So far the baby is holding everyone at bay and staying put….. Or maybe, just maybe it’s listening to its mother!!!…
All I wanted was for this little one to be born on a day of it’s own… we have a heap of family members all with birthdays, anniversaries and the like in Jan and they were my official “cross the leg” day’s… well they have all pretty much passed now with the exception of Bill and my 2nd wedding anniversary.. Which I might add if I haven’t had by then… There will be trouble……

Back to the Dr’s yesterday and again it was the same as last week… “See you in a week if you haven’t had the bub”
Blood pressure- normal…
Weight- normal -…
Belly measurement – normal…..
Pee in the jar test – normal….
Heart beat – normal and strong…
So all in all….. NORMAL!!!!

Off to lunch today with some friends which I am really looking forward too… then hopefully a little nap in the arvo !!.. Missed it yesterday need to catch up and bank some more sleep before baby arrives……

So it’s thursday 5th Jan.. This is day number 266 and I am officially 38 weeks pregnant!!!!..
I have 14 days or 2 weeks left, and are 95.0% of the way there.

The baby could weigh around 3.1kg (approximately 6 lbs 13 ozs) or more and measure around 48.5 cm from head to toe (about 19 inches).

I have gone from 69kg’s to 93.5kg’s….

Now for those that have gone before me this year.. Becky, Mel, Michelle, Kylie… they all had babies by now !! interesting……..
But not me.. ladies and gentlemen I am in for the long haul!!.. I am now siding with dad that there really is nothing in my belly at all!!!!!… we tell it everynight… “Time to come out we are ready for you”.. but alas the morning air filters through the bedroom window and no baby!!!
What is taking that stalk so long !! maybe he lost the address !!!!…
Went to the DR yesterday and as with every other visit I have had to her.. everything is NORMAL and going well.. Head is down and we are ready to go.. aparently it’s just a matter of time….
To quote her ” see you in a week, if you haven’t had a baby”…. GREAT !!!!
I have been keeping busy moving the furniture around the house.. Bill went mad the other night at me for doing it but the place needed a change !!!… plus I have the piano arriving and needed to make room… I have also got some stictching that Mel has done ( they are beautful ) to hang in the babies room… and I have also got some other bright Pics that I want to hang in there as well… ( am currently waiting on Bill to get home from Golf so he can but them up for me,… he has till the end of this or i’ll just get up and have a go myself ).. I have also just done the vacuming and mopping.. now i hear you all nodding thinking.. Yep here we go she is nesting, it’s the cleaning thing.. well hate to disappoint but anyone that has ever lived with me will know… THAT TOO IS NORMAL !!!!!
SO we are ETA 2 weeks……. and we await …….. well off now to have a baked dinner.. baked beans for Bill and Spaghetti for me….. I love those dinners !!!!

Happy new year to all…. once again simular to last year we had a quiet new years… Bill and I seen 2006 in watching some fireworks from our front verander.. who knows where they were being let off from !!! We had a BBQ with Ben and Tarn and then played cards till the countdown was on !!!…
Bill and I have made some new years resolutions but at this stage are not making them public….
So what have we been doing in 2006………… WAITING FOR THE BABY TO ARRIVE……… New years day was hot hot hot with a scorching 43 degrees the only place to be was inside in the air con… we had a new years day doo at Stubsies house which consists of lots of food … yum yum yum.. Bill and I then went into the ocean baths with John and Gillian to ease the heat and also my big FAT Feet that seem to come from no where…. The swim was unreal and I think that the ocean baths will be my new best friend on a hot arvo.. They are really cool they even have lights so in daylight savings you can stay there for as long as you like… we left about 8pm newyears day and it was still 40 degrees…. needless to say we didn’t sleep very well that night….
We are both back at work now as well.. ha ha …. hard work this housewife job… but i feel a promotion is coming as i have been doing an exceptional job…. I have applied for this really cool job and am starting hopefully withing in the next 2 weeks… My official title will be.. .MUMMY!!!!!!!
